When you die, you cease to beUnknown
The chemical reactions that generate new energy cease
Movements stops
Electricity in the brain is cut off
Suddenly there is endless silence, boundless and forever
Then you decompose
The cruel jaws of decay shreds your body into it’s base components
Slowly, over time, the memory of you fades, then all that you could have been and all that you where mingles into one tiny point that is your name
Then that too fades from yellowed paper or a corrupted hard drive
And so you become that which can show no evidence of it’s existence
And all your toil and your struggles and your tears will be lost, insignificant and meaningless.
